I Have Moved
RVA ✈️ ATL
Hi Dream Team,
Long Time No See!
Now You Be Asking Why? Or Maybe Not!
Life has been happening!
I graduated on May 10th with my Master’s in Art Education. Beginning in mid-June, I accepted a job at Georgia State University, and I am so excited!
Although I am excited about that, change is constantly triggering my mental health. I have had mood swings like no tomorrow and crying spells almost every night! But honestly, I am so blessed and highly favored.
My favorite part of this move is being near my mommy! If you don't know, my mommy and I are super close, and I have missed her so much while living in Ohio, LA, and VA. So, this is definitely the best part of this transition.
Here’s my love letter to RVA,
You gave me a place to go when I felt I was failing and unsure.
The Black and Gold family was something I never knew I needed.
I’ve had family here, but becoming close with them is the best part of being here. I gained 3 big brothers, although they are my cousins Dame, T, and Lil W.
My friendships that I formed there were the best: Liyah, AJ, and Jay. I love you all and I honestly would have made through the second half of my second year with out you all! Honorable mention : Drew
And my colleagues and supervisor from VCU reminded me of my OU family. That Ramily love is real.
I am a proud alumna of VCU.
Gosh, 2 years feel so short, but I am so thankful! It was the happiest I had been in years. Although there were ALOT of ups and downs
I love you, VA. I hope to see you soon!
~ Naila
Anyways, cheers to a new chapter.
Anyone who is reading this right now:
God will put you in spaces, throw obstacles at you, and place you in people's lives, and you may never know why, but just remember, he has a plan for you!
